Support a Veteran Wrestler's World Quest

You may have seen me sitting mat-side, coaching the St. Christopher's School or Richmond Wrestling Club athletes at competitions across the state and country, but did you know that I am still actively competing in the sport at my age (52)!? I am busy training and preparing for the 2025 United World Wrestling (UWW) Veterans World Championships that will take place October 7-12 in Tatabanya, Hungary. The 2025 UWW Championships will be my sixth World competition since returning to competitive wrestling. I am hoping to get back on the podium after losing in the Bronze medal matches in 2023 and 2024. But I need your help to get to Tatabanya.
I am seeking your financial assistance to help with the expense of training, traveling, and competing in the 2025 UWW Veterans World Championships. Your generous donation will help defray the cost of travel, food and lodging to Tatabanya, all associated UWW fees, equipment, and training for the tournament. I am looking to raise a total of $10,000 for the tournament. I need your help to continue to compete.
I battled through some injuries last year, nearly completely rupturing my biceps tendon in June, followed by dislocating a finger less than one week before Worlds in Croatia. I did not let either injury slow me down, and competed hard with essentially one working arm, losing in the Bronze medal match. I am happy to say that the biceps tendon has fully healed since surgery and I am back on my training program!
I have tremendous experience coaching at the National and International level as well, most currently serving as the Head Coach for Maccabi USA Wrestling. I have competed successfully at every level from high school, college, and international- including winning several National Championships in Greco and representing the USA in four World Championships. I have won three medals in the UWW Veterans World Championships: bronze in 2019 and 2022, and gold in 2021.
To continue to train and compete at a high level, I need your support! Please consider donating to my cause and know that your money will go to fund a fantastic cause! Thank you!
