I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped raise money for my brother, and the situation he is in. Through the help of donations from kind hearted people we were able to raise enough money to start the payment arrangement; which allowed us to save his home; however he is still in need of paying off the balance as well as ensuring he has the necessities of life such as heating oil, food, power and things of that nature.

These kind of decisions is what caused him to fall behind on his taxes to begin with. He has not had heating oil in three years, and to be honest we do not even know if his furnace will fire up. This past summer his air conditioning unit went out, and almost five years ago his truck had a catastrophic breakdown, which has led him to walking or getting rides everywhere he needs to go. Since we were able to start the payment arrangement, and he has a plan to take care of the balance utilizing his paychecks, I have decided to leave this fundraiser open and active to try and assist him with the fire mentioned items. “ORIGINAL REQUEST FOR HELP”

My name is Rob, and I am raising funds to try to help my brother (best friend) to save his childhood home. He fell behind on his property taxes, and now he is facing the real possibility of losing his childhood home. My brother served our country, and came back to his dad having cancer. When his dad passed away, he left the house to him, and now he is about to lose the last thing his dad left him.

He worked several jobs over the years and did his best to keep up with the bills of owning a home. However, like many of us, he fell on hard times, and he had to choose between necessities for life such as food, power, water, and such or paying the property taxes. He was finally getting back on his feet when he lost his job, and this again put him in a situation of surviving or paying taxes. I was able to help him find a steady job, and then the state decided to seize his childhood home. He has tried to do everything he can think of, including asking others to loan him the money he needs to either start a payment arrangement or get caught up on the past due taxes. Unfortunately, he has not been able to secure the funds he so desperately needs. He is now down to the final days before they send his childhood home to Sheriff sale, and he becomes homeless. This happens on 10/28/2025, and I know it’s a long shot, but I am hoping to help him raise as much as possible before then.

In our country, the homeless population is growing quickly, and it is sad to think that he may become a statistic in that number. He proudly served our country and did his duty with honor, and it is my hope that the American people will help save his childhood home. He knows that he made choices and this is a result of those choices; however, he is hopeful that people will step up and help him in his time of need.
