This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’m a Marine Corps war veteran. I’ve faced combat, hardship, and uncertainty—but nothing has shaken me quite like this.

I’ve been unemployed for over a year, the longest stretch I’ve ever faced. The last time I was out of work was during the 2008 recession, and even then, it lasted only a few months. This time, despite relentless effort—applications, interviews, networking—I haven’t been able to secure a role. The financial strain has become overwhelming.

We’re behind on our mortgage, car payments, and bills. We’ve stretched every dollar, but we’re at the edge. Without help, we may lose the home we’ve worked so hard to build for our children—a place filled with love, laughter, and memories.

I’m asking for help to keep our family afloat. But more than donations, what I truly want is a job. I’m an experienced IT engineer with deep expertise in cloud architecture, automation, compliance, and infrastructure strategy. If you or someone you know is hiring—or needs help with IT systems—I would much rather earn my keep than rely on charity. I’m ready to work, consult, build, and solve problems.
