I'm raising funds for my best friend's dad and his family as they face an incredibly painful time. He is dying from kidney failure, infection, and sepsis, and they have been told he does not have long. He is also a veteran, and during COVID he went to New York City and transported nurses and doctors to and from the hospital.
His daughter, my best friend, has been a 911 dispatcher for years, and this is an especially hard time for their family as they try to carry both the emotional and practical weight of what is happening.
Along with everything they are carrying emotionally, the family is also dealing with serious financial pressure at home. The funds raised will help his wife pay bills and address a leaking roof that badly needs to be replaced. The roof is already leaking, and mold is starting to set in, which makes this even more urgent.
She is worried about how she will make it alone, and right now the family needs support in a very real and immediate way. Any donation, no matter the size, would help ease some of the burden they are facing and give them one less thing to worry about during this difficult time. If you are not able to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping them in your thoughts.
