Support a Venezuelan Family's Safe Relocation
Donation protected
Maria, Reiner and their three sons are Venezuelan refugees currently in the Colombian town of Pamplona, 70km from the Venezuelan border.
Two years after achieving their dream of opening a family restaurant in their home city of Maracaibo, hyperinflation, resource scarcity, and unpredictable, extended power outages made their business impossible to sustain.
Unable to make a living or feed their children, Maria and Reiner made the difficult decision to leave their home behind.
For years, the family has struggled to make ends meet in a border region affected by paramilitary violence. In 2024 they finally managed to obtain passports, making them eligible for the U.S. State Department’s Welcome Corps program, a legal pathway to residency in the U.S.
To continue their relocation process, the Welcome Corps asks sponsors to raise $2,425 per refugee to cover their living costs during their first 90 days in the U.S.
Whether you can donate $10 or $100, we’re so grateful for your contribution.
