Help a Trans Artist Overcome Financial Hardship
Donation protected
I'm an artist, writer, and small-business owner, working hard to turn my creative projects into a stable living. Last year, I made a significant but unwise financial decision that I believed was the right thing to do at the time—and lost my employment shortly after. Now, I'm facing $9,000+ in overdue taxes, late fees for everything from my cell phone and Internet to my car insurance, juggling client gigs that barely cover the basics, and managing unexpected family health issues that go beyond what insurance can handle. I'm selling art, building a business, teaching classes, selling off any of my belongings that are worth anything, navigating the bureaucratic mess known as the American social safety net, and grinding hard to keep us afloat, but I could really use a hand to get some breathing room.
My goal's $10,000 just to be able to make a dent in all of this, and if not dig out the hole, at least stop the late fees from continuing to pile up.
Thanks for any help—I appreciate it more than I can say.
