Support a Title 1 Classroom in Charlotte!

Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read about my GoFundMe. I am a 2024 Corp member for Teach For America and a second year 4th-grade teacher in Charlotte, NC, working at a Title 1 School. Your support last year allowed my classroom to come to fruition and, ultimately, assisted in me being awarded Beginning Teacher of the Year at my school. I humbly ask for your support again this year! My overall goal this year is to challenge my students and assist them in developing lifelong academic and social-emotional skills that will build a strong foundation for their future. As always, I thrive to build a safe, nurturing environment for my students to feel comfortable being themselves.

I will use these funds to equip my classroom with different resources, supplies, and essentials that my students and I will need to have a successful year. As I move from teaching 3rd grade to 4th grade, I have more background knowledge of what my students will need. This includes basic necessities (such as tissues and wipes), intervention group materials, enrichment activities, organizational tools, supplies to support emotional awareness and emotion regulation, classroom management resources, and much more. At the end of the year, I want my students to leave with an eagerness to learn more and the self-confidence to achieve more beyond elementary school. Every penny counts!
