Support a tiny warrior and her parents!
Life doesn’t always wait for you to be ready.
My sweet niece came into this world 10 weeks early, and from her very first moments, she has shown how strong she is. What should have been a time filled with snuggles, celebrations, and settling into life as a family has instead become a whirlwind of hospitals, unanswered questions, and fear no parent is ever prepared for.
After some concerning complications following her early birth, doctors have made the decision to transfer her to a primary children’s hospital in UT so she can be closely monitored by a specialized endocrinologist. At this time, doctors are still working to understand exactly what’s going on. One possible diagnosis being explored is optic nerve hypoplasia/septo-optic dysplasia, which could affect her ability to regulate hormones and maintain safe sodium levels. Unfortunately, there are still many unknowns, and some answers can only come as she grows.
What we do know is this:
• She needs specialized medical care
• Her parents need to be by her side
• And none of this was planned or expected
Because of this sudden medical crisis, Mom and Dad are being forced to temporarily — and possibly permanently — leave their home, travel out of state, and focus entirely on their daughter’s survival and future. They are leaving behind their house and their two beloved dogs, who will thankfully be cared for by family while they are away.
To make matters even harder, they do not have health insurance.
The financial weight of medical bills, housing near the hospital, transportation, and daily living expenses is overwhelming — especially while navigating fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty. No parent should have to choose between being with their child and worrying about how to afford the next day.
We are hoping to raise at least $10,000 to help cover:
• Medical expenses not covered by assistance
• Temporary (or longer-term) housing near the hospital
• Transportation costs
• Basic living expenses during this critical time
This family is strong, loving, and devoted — but they cannot do this alone.
If you’re able to donate, please know that every dollar helps. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much. Most importantly, we ask for your prayers, good thoughts, and positive energy for a tiny fighter who has already shown how resilient she is.
Thank you for helping carry this family through one of the hardest moments of their lives.
