Hey Y’all!

Recently I went to Be More Dental where they made me feel comfortable, taken care of and confident.  As I shared my dental history with Dr. Paul Lindemuth I caught myself holding back tears as I recalled the memories of not having proper dental care.  Remembering having to go on North Avenue & Pennsylvania Avenue and being treated as if I was "less than".  During one of my extractions from a previous dentist over 11 years ago, the dentist treated me harshly and dismissively.  I learned at a recent dental examination, the dentist discovered that the dismissive doctor left HALF of my supposedly extracted tooth still in my mouth when it should have been completely removed! This dental journey has been one of the biggest struggles and frustrations I’ve had to face!  I'm tired of being in that space due to no/inadequate dental insurance or because I had government insurance. My teeth, smile and confidence have suffered drastically due to medical negligence!

I didn’t realize the insecurities that lingered for years due to my oral appearance and how poorly I had been treated as a patient.

Today I have a great dental insurance Blue Cross & Blue Shield and a great dental team at Be More Dental, with an awesome and caring dentist Dr. Paul. He and his team came up with a great plan for me. This plan consists of 4hrs of major dental restoration. This includes four wisdom teeth being removed that I didn’t know came in due to not having any pain over the years, reopening the space to remove the other half of my tooth that was left in my mouth and replacing it with a new tooth. Boy was I happy walking out of that office!

However, the over all cost is hindering me from accomplishing this goal. I’m ready to have a smile that I can finally be proud of. With me being a teacher, and MC (The Loudest) in my day to day life, I have to speak very often. I no longer want to have the fear or insecurity from wondering if people are looking at my teeth. Lol!!!

I am learning to lean on my community for support. Many of you know me personally and know my story concerning my dental journey. I rarely ask for anything for myself. Yes, I will ask for help my students ah! But this time it’s for me. I am asking you to help me accomplish this dream.
