I have the privilege of working with children in a government-run program that helps prepare them for kindergarten. Teaching and supporting these kids is my passion, and I truly love being part of their early learning journey. Unfortunately, this past month and a half has been incredibly difficult. For reasons still unknown to us, my paycheck—and those of my fellow teachers—has been withheld. While we’ve been told the issue is being worked on, none of us have received any pay, and it’s created a lot of stress and uncertainty.

Not being paid for over a month has made it extremely hard to keep up with basic expenses like rent and groceries. I want nothing more than to continue working with my students, but this financial strain is making it tough to stay afloat. I am doing everything I can to resolve the situation, but right now, I need a little help to get through this rough patch.
