Help a Teacher Keep their Home & Rescued Cats

Hello everyone! I was unexpectedly out of work last year and am fighting to save my house and keep my cats. I am a teacher (and currently working at a reduced salary until my contract kicks in this August) who is also providing a roof for a former student who was kicked out of their home at 19 and all of our rescued cats.

In an attempt to save up the funds, I’ve gone this summer without working A/C or hot water, but it has still not been enough. I need to pay the bank $7k plus lawyers fees ($1-2k) to keep my house and our cats, plus continue to provide my roommate with reliable housing while they work their way up within their job (currently part-time with the promise of a full-time promotion). Any money raised beyond that total will go to repairing the A/C and hot water heater.
