Here are the student's words: I have worked extremely hard to pursue my education despite the financial and legal barriers that my family and I face.

My studies have focused on understanding people, communities, and social systems, and I plan to pursue a career in law, with the long-term goal of advocating for individuals and families who face systemic barriers similar to those I have experienced. I remain deeply committed to my academic work and to finishing my degree, even with the additional financial strain and stress on me and my family.
