Hi, my name is Junior. I'm a Senior in High School, graduating this year in May 2025. I'm an animator and artist, and have been learning Japanese for almost 4 years. I have been learning about Japanese culture in the USA but have not experienced the culture itself in it's own country. I have worked hard on my school life and taken challenging classes in order to make myself proud of how far I've come.

With my Senior Graduation coming in Spring 2026, I have been offered to fly to Japan to experience Japanese culture both in the city and in school. I will be going to a Japanese school for a week, as well as visit historical sights and major cities. This would be an incredible experience for me, learning more about the culture and the language that I wish to master. I have been wanting to go to Japan ever since I was in middle school, just to experience the school and city life there.

While I have been offered this grand trip, unfortunately the costs have stood in my way. The total cost is in total $4,710, needing at least a $1400 deposit by December 31. My dad has worked tirelessly as an elementary teacher, but funding the trip himself with 3 children to take care of is not enough. I have worked hard throughout my school year, taking classes that have pushed me to my limits. Covering the cost of this trip would be impossible without any help.

The Japan trip offering has been the most special to me, wanting to learn more about the culture that I wish to know more about. This is the only offer that I will be able to get to experience school in Japan, which I've visioned of. Being able to experience a life-changing trip would help me grow and learn more about Japan. This would be the most incredible journey that I would get to go on, to grow, to learn, and to be me in a country I wish to go to.
