Hi there! My name is Josh Mercado, a graduating film student and local from Vancouver, BC. I am the writer and director of Checkpoint, Please!, a romantic thriller that explores a feeling of desperation, an utter want to redo life, and learning maturity... finding that one's own life is something to cherish.

Checkpoint, Please! is a heart-wrenching story where a hopeless lover-boy who, after a failed confession, finds himself in a death-triggered time loop. He decides to repeat this date and die for this girl, learning her every want through trial and error.

This is a film that asks you to contemplate about what's truly worth dying for.
