I'm starting this fundraiser to help Abubacarr Bojang, a young man from The Gambia who reached out to me through social media. His message was sincere, and his situation truly touched my heart.
Abubacarr is currently unemployed, trying to care for his family under extremely difficult conditions. His father is elderly and unable to work due to ongoing health issues that require frequent doctor visits. He is the eldest son, and alongside him are two younger brothers and a little sister who are all depending on him.
Their family lives in extreme poverty. During this past Ramadan, there were days when they didn’t have enough food or even clean water to break their fast. It's heartbreaking to hear someone say they went without meals during such a sacred month, but this is their reality.
I’ve personally spoken with Abubacarr through FaceTime and seen the hardship they’re enduring. Despite everything, he remains kind, humble, and full of faith. He constantly makes sincere dua (prayer) for me and he has expressed that he would do the same for anyone who helps his family.
This is a beautiful opportunity for us, especially as Muslims, to support a struggling family and earn lasting rewards in both this life and the next. Even a small donation: $10, $20, or whatever you can give can provide them with food, water, and other essentials many of us take for granted.
I’ll be sharing the GoFundMe link and donor names with Abubacarr so he can make personal duas for each and every one of you who helps.
Please consider donating, sharing this cause, or simply keeping him and his family in your prayers.
May Allah reward you all for your kindness, generosity, and compassion. Ameen.
