Hello my friends! I’m an American travel stuck in another country with massive court fines. I moved with my family (wife and children) to the UAE a few years ago. And during that timeframe, I started very optimistically, expecting to successfully navigate and maintain my finances.

I work as software engineer, and I have been working 100% remotely for years before choosing to travel out of the country.

But after traveling, within a few months, the company brought forth a policy that would prevent me from working remotely and overseas. My managers at work tried to help me but couldn’t, and I ended up being let go.

I have been applying for jobs a ton, but I haven’t been successful securing a remote position at a U.S. company, or local positions here in the UAE.

For the past six months, I haven’t been able to pay my rent, and my landlord took me to court, leading to a termination of my lease and an eviction ruling.

Now, I’m forced to stay at a neighbor’s home, essentially homeless with my family, in a foreign country.

I am also unable to travel back to the U.S. unless I fully resolve the large debt for overdue rent bills.

So I’m here seeking helpful donations to allow me to pay off my debts and fines, then safely travel back home with my wife and children.
