I am definitely not one to ask for something from others, but today when I was picking up my daughter from school, I ran into a coworker who works as a transporter at my hospital. He is the parent of an eight-year-old boy who ha sspecial needs and has been through many medical conditions. He spent the first 2 1/2 years of his life in the hospital and extended care facilities. He has made so much progress over the last eight years of his life. He is nonverbal, but his parents give him all love and attention a child could ask for a child could ask for. In December, he will be making his first trip to Disneyland. As a parent, our biggest fear is having a child that is unhealthy or unwell. This couple has been through it and their child is striving. I’m not asking for much, but I would love to make this trip Something truly amazing for them. These parents are so strong and so amazing. Even $10 or $20 from enough people could truly make a difference to make this one of the best trips of their lives.
