I am a single parent with two teenagers. In December 2022, I was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. I went through surgery and treatment throughout 2023. The treatment made me really sick. I remained sick after the treatment was finished. I ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks at the beginning of 2024. I was diagnosed with meningitis and encephalitis caused by the immunotherapy treatment.

In November 2024, I found a tumor near where the mole was. The melanoma came back. I had to do a different treatment this time: targeted immunotherapy for 6 months and then surgery.

At this point, I've lost over 100 lbs. I can't eat. My hair has fallen out due to lack of nutrition.

I'm in chronic pain in my legs and weak with no energy.

The last 3 years have been a real struggle. My doctor wants me to go on disability, but I can't. I have a mortgage and kids to care for.
