Support a Single Mother's Surgery Recovery

Update: I had surgery at the end of March. . I was doing better for a while but I started having severe complications I can barely use my right arm at times, the pain is unbearable at times, there is extreme burning in my arms neck, head, and pain down my spine. As of now they are unsure of a game plan . . I'm behind on bills, I owe a ton in medical expenses, necessities around the house. . please help if you can

Hi! I am a single mother of a teenager. I work full-time and have been at my current job for just about five years. It is very manual labor and has done a number on my body. For years, I have been fighting with problems with my neck.

It has now become so unbearable and is causing me to lose motor functions in both my arms and legs. They have finally decided to do the surgery to replace the herniated disc in my neck. That being said, I will have a TON of medical bills, not to mention the financial burden this will create being off work for so long. I do have some short-term disability coverage with work but nowhere close to what it's going to cost for everything. I live paycheck to paycheck currently, with not much in savings. Although I have been dealing with this pain for a long long time the decision to have surgery came very quick and sudden therefore not easy to plan for in anyway. I absolutely hate asking for help and have always been a hard-working, dedicated single mother, but at this time I am just asking for a little help to get me through this. All funds will be used for bills( electric, propane,lot rent, etc), food and necessities during recovery, medical bills not covered by insurance, the travel expenses to and from the doctor for surgery and any follow up appointments.

Even the smallest bit would help so much!

UPDATE. I have been off work since the end of March, now having complications and my return to work has been extended TBH on next surgeon visit with lots more testing. Since I'm off work so long my FMLA ended and my rates went up, I now have to pay $600+ a month to keep me insurance to cover these medical visits and testing. Plus I'm falling behind on bills, and necessities. Any and all help would mean the world. God bless
