Hi everyone, I am asking for help so I can get my car fixed and get to my graduation.

My transmission is failing, so I’m seeking a rental car for the weekend to drive the 1.5-hour journey to my graduation, as well as assistance getting my car fixed. I’m usually reluctant to ask for help, but after nearly 6 years of hard work on my Bachelor’s degree, I can’t afford to miss the ceremony.

As a single mother of two living in a rural area and working as a cleaner for vacation rentals, I rely on a car for my daily needs. I’ll provide a detailed list of expenses below. Thank you

Rental car 3 days: $250

Transmission diagnostic: $120

Transmission repair: $300 - $2000 (I am not sure exactly what needs replacing)

Rental car while car is in shop: approx. $60/day
