Hi, my name is Ana, and I want to share the story of a close friend — with her full support and permission.

Just a few weeks after giving birth, she found herself navigating an unexpected and overwhelming new reality: rebuilding her life with a newborn in her arms, no family nearby, and lots of uncertainty.

Since then, she’s faced each day with quiet strength — doing everything she can to create a safe and stable life for herself and her baby, one step at a time.

As her friend, I’ve seen firsthand the weight she carries — and the strength with which she carries it.

She’s taken on extra work alongside her full-time job to keep up with rent, legal fees, and everyday essentials, all while showing up fully for her baby with unwavering love and a smile, even as she adjusts to the demands of new motherhood and continues to recover emotionally from significant life changes.

This fundraiser is meant to help lighten some of the load she’s been carrying on her own. Every contribution — no matter the size — truly helps.

“Hello,
I’m a single mother to a young baby, and over the past year, I’ve been navigating a quiet but challenging journey — emotionally, legally, and financially — to protect my child’s well-being and give us both a future filled with peace and stability.

After stepping away from a relationship that was no longer healthy, I’ve been working hard to rebuild our lives from the ground up. I’ve been primarily responsible for covering our day-to-day expenses — including rent, childcare, and everyday-basic needs.

Some of the debts I carry today come from unresolved financial obligations from that past relationship. They continue to impact my life and credit, and I’ve been managing them on my own. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve done everything in my power to maintain stability and security for my child.

My next goal is to move us out of the basement space we currently live in, into a modest apartment — a meaningful step toward restoring our privacy and dignity.

The funds raised will also help cover legal expenses, as I’m transitioning to a new attorney who can better support and guide me in protecting my child’s best interests. This requires a new retainer fee and is an urgent priority.

I cannot forget to mention how I’m incredibly thankful for the support I’ve already received from friends and from my church community — help with diapers, baby formula, and emotional encouragement that has sustained me through very difficult days.

I truly praise the Lord for each of them. And for every small act of care that’s carried us this far.

One thing I can guarantee: I’m committed — fully, fiercely — to raising my son in a safe, stable, and loving home.
