My mom is a 41 year old mother of three amazing kids Camila who is 3 and Luciano who is 9 months. She has always sacrificed everything for us, working tirelessly to make sure we had what we needed even when life threw the toughest challenges her way.

When she was pregnant with Camila, she worked at TJ Maxx to save money for rent and prepare for her new baby. Once Camila was born, she quit to take care of her, using her savings to make ends meet. Unfortunately, those savings were quickly spent on rent, and she lost her apartment.

Despite all of this, she tried to make a life with the father of Camila and Luciano. He was often absent, didn’t contribute financially, and sometimes disappeared for days without explanation. Eventually, my mom had Luciano,

still supporting the family while he remained unemployed or collecting unemployment.

He even convinced my mom to move to Arizona for his sister’s stable home, but soon after, he kicked her out, took the kids’ car seats, and withheld their passports. Even after she returned to Illinois, he filed for full custody despite never providing financial support, despite a history of DUIs, alcohol abuse, drug use, infidelity, and dangerous behavior toward others.

My mom has always followed the court’s orders, but the father of her children refuses to contribute to child support, daycare, groceries, clothing, or anything the kids need. My grandparents and I have been supporting her as much as we can, but we aren’t wealthy, and we cannot afford a lawyer who can actually fight for her rights and the well being of the children.

She doesn’t deserve this. She’s a loving, dedicated mother who has given up everything for her children. Now, she needs our help to secure proper legal representation so she can protect her kids, maintain stability, and ensure they have a safe, healthy environment.
