What brought me here honestly is a period of extensive growth, change and self-reflection to accept inevitable changes happening, and taking control of what I can, in order to positively direct a new path for me and my son. My gracious ex-partner and I have been cohabitating since breaking up in February so that I could find work before we moved out, but that is now coming to an end in less than a month, and as it turns out my landlord will not allow us to stay in this apt and find a new roommate that isn’t direct family. So I need to face the reality of the situation, go with the flow, and accept that a move is inevitable. I have started packing boxes, unsure where we will go yet, but doing my homework while trusting that somehow the funds to move us will find us prepared when it is needed. Being a single parent with a preteen son watching, I cannot and will not give up no matter what life throws at me. I will lead by example and never stop swimming, pushing forward, pivoting and fighting to keep not my head above water but planning and progressing well beyond that, until the waters inevitably calm down once again. I am consciously working to set myself up for success—starting a new federal job in about 2wks, lots of OT to come from that opportunity, and now we are seeking a new space to call home with a fresh start, where we can enjoy creating some new good energy from which to continue to expand, grow and thrive. This is our phoenix moment, rising from the ashes of the past! Over the last couple of years I have done a lot of work deep within to heal, restore my health, grow as a person and as a mother, and to improve my mindset and to find a new healthy path forward—a happier way for us to live, love, and create a new life and begin anew. Part of that pathway brings me here in search of support for a hardworking single mom who just needs a leg up to get my footing again and run with it. I will stop at nothing to improve, level up, move on, and show my son what a new future for us can be (no matter what life throws our way). I am at a crossroads and hope anyone out there who is willing and able to heed my call for help may be able to offer their swift financial support to transition to a new apartment by the fast approaching end of June, and reset our life on a new, positive course, both onward and upward! I am at last now training to work as a mail carrier with the USPS, but will not have funds by the time we need to vacate the apt. My partner is moving out at the end of June (and so must we now) which is in 4 short weeks and would probably need the money by the 25th of June! To be clear, I need this money to secure a place and move to the new location (first/last/security deposit), and if possible replace some basic furniture: a bed, a dining room table, a couch, a dresser, etc…to create a sense of normalcy through this pivotal transition for us both. This financial assistance will cover moving costs and some used furniture (noted above) to provide the foundation I need to get situated, and have a jumping off point, as I start a new career and carve a new path forward with love, peace, and goals for our future. Standing in the now is a true test of growth, character, fortitude and faith. I am standing in the present, owning it, and handling all I can and whatever I do have control over, like selling all the items we can to raise any funds possible with consistent persistence. I was encouraged to see if this might be an avenue I hadn’t considered, to allow others to support me in this way. I would not have thought it an option, had things not developed so quickly, but here we are. I also know I would help someone if I could. I have. And I will again. So here I share my story, and my heart-felt intentions, to see if anyone would feel good about supporting us, help us financially during this crutial transition, and be an indelible part of our evolving success story!
