December UPDATE:
Hello Rouge Community,
Surgery went very well, I admit the healing process has been long and grueling. The 6mm tumor did in fact come back cancerous.
Although hearing this news is life altering, I was assured it was the best news about cancer possible. My surgeon got all the margins to the tumor diagnosed as ductal carcinoma or DCIS, a self-contained non-invasive breast cancer at the very early stages.
Upon meeting with the radiation team, I have been scheduled for 4 weeks radiation starting in January. Each session will last 15 minutes, I will be at the appointment for an hour every business day. My treatments will start January 2nd and will continue through the month. As of now I am scheduled to work Thursday, Friday and Saturday during January; my hours will be one hour less on Thursday and Friday starting January 2nd to accommodate radiation on those days.
Taking two days out of my work week till be personally finically difficult. Moving forward all donations will be going directly to my personal funds to makeup for the two lost days so I can rest, heal, and pay every week the co pay for radiation for every treatment.
All donations moving forward will go toward:
Christmas gifts for my daughter Anya
Medical Bills
Utilities
Pet Food
Groceries
Rent
For all who have been so generous and have kept us in your prayers, Thank you. I wish everyone a Happy, HEALTHY Holiday Season!
