Hi folks,

Last October my family endured an incredibly tragic experience. My mom woke up late into the night to find her home of 30 years ablaze. She managed to get out with just the clothes on her back. Unfortunately, she lost everything including her late husband's music and instrument collection, precious photo albums, and jewelry collection, some of which was passed down by her mother.

Due to her residing in the hurricane belt of the Virgin Islands, she was grossly underinsured as a result of the exorbitant insurance premiums. We have just begun to explore what rebuilding a small apartment for her looks like and as you can imagine, the costs are staggering.

Anything you can do to support, be that donating, sharing, or a kind message, goes a long way. We can't bring back the priceless items and memories lost but we can do our best to help her re-establish her independence and reclaim a little of the place she's called home for the majority of her life.
