Hello all, my name is Yusuf, currently studying in Canada. I am launching this campaign with a clear goal: to raise the funds necessary to aid my family in survival while navigating through extreme turbulence so they can safely leave Gaza. With your support, we can offer them a pathway to safety, far from the conflicts that have shadowed their lives, and a chance at a brighter future. Staying in Gaza means not only living under constant threat but also facing severe shortages of basic needs and opportunities for growth and education.

Nearly two years ago, I was fortunate enough to visit Gaza, an experience I hold close to my heart. However, the Gaza I remember is changing rapidly, and it is not the same should I have the opportunity to return. These reflections have deepened my resolve to extend a helping hand in any way possible, particularly during these challenging times. GoFundMe has offered a platform to transform this intent into action, for which I am immensely grateful. No contribution is too small; every act of kindness will help pave the way for change.

At the request of my cousin, Mohamad Anan, I am spearheading this campaign to assist his family, who are currently facing dire conditions in Rafah, unable to find an easy way out of Gaza's current turmoil. "Hello, my name is Mohammed Anan, and I am 21 years old from the Gaza Strip, Palestine. I am currently a third-year student pursuing a degree in software engineering. My family, consisting of 7 members plus a newborn who arrived amidst the war, has been profoundly affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which has tragically resembled a crime.

Our lives were once filled with warmth and joy in a home that was a beautiful sanctuary for our dreams. However, everything changed dramatically after October 7th. Our home, along with our aspirations, was reduced to ashes. The war in Gaza has turned my life upside down, presenting a reality where the end seemed all too possible.

In the face of relentless destruction, we have been displaced multiple times, desperately seeking safe shelter from the indiscriminate bombings that have claimed the lives of innocents. As days turned into months, we mourned the loss of many relatives and friends, witnessed the devastation of our neighborhood, and saw our dreams and future ambitions shattered.

The psychological toll is compounded by worsening conditions in Gaza, including the spread of diseases, and severe shortages of essentials like food, clean water, and medical care. We are struggling to survive without the basic necessities of life, amidst what can only be described as a humanitarian disaster.

I am reaching out with urgency through this fundraiser, aiming to secure a safe evacuation for myself and my family from Gaza. We are deeply thankful for any support you can offer during these dire times.

Currently, no place in Gaza is safe. Your help could provide us with a chance to rebuild from the remnants of our lives. We are human beings, deserving of the opportunity to live in peace."

The situation in Gaza has reached a point of utter desperation, placing countless families, in a perpetual state of fear for there lives. The availability of basic necessities like food, clean water, and medical supplies is dwindling rapidly. Escalating violence has transformed Gaza into an untenable place to live, posing an even greater risk to the more vulnerable members of my family. The extent of the destruction has made the prospect of returning to a normal life in Gaza an impossibility for the foreseeable future.
