This fundraiser is a last resort effort to combat immediate homelessness. We want to be as open and honest about our situation as possible during this time of emergency; so who are we and what's the situation?
Our goal is $1,000 to secure a place to stay long enough to work and save and upgrade.

THE SITUATION
BOTTOM LINE- The three of us are now homeless and have been receiving help to eliminate some factors. We have a climate controlled storage unit for now as shelter and would use any and all funds available to focus on a weekly/monthly rental car (check out turo for price range it's WAY cheaper than enterprise etc; just need the smallest one since we won't need to carry all our stuff with us) so we can start up d-dash and other job opportunities to get on our feet. Noa is starting work on 9/8/25, so it's just about STAYING ABLE to work. The most daunting thing is the idea of not having anywhere to sleep with the conditions of the police in Austin right now. We have 1 cat and 1 chihuahua with us so we aren't prioritizing shelters as these babies would be our sanity.
Some options we have in mind:
- $600 would cover a rental car for 1 MONTH including gas money! HIGHLY preferred. We could reliably get to our jobs and sleep in it if needed. Earn back via d-dashing, Instacart and Uber eats etc.
- $250 rental car for 1 WEEK including gas money and taxes.
- $250 would help get Honey and Tuna up to date on shots.
$10-$15 here and there helps us stay fed and hydrated as we work and save!!
THE STORY
Lani and Kami have been forced to stay in a dangerous and unstable environment. The person on the lease they're at now keeps her abuser around and he has a key to the place now too. She has kicked them out with no vehicle or place to go. They have been taking care of Honey, the kitty they found in honeysuckle bushes nearby that has brought nothing but joy and lots of energy to their lives ever since.
Noa has had to live with her homophobic and otherwise unsupportive family, who now face losing their house soon. She was told regardless she needed to be out by September 1. While applying for disability benefits, she has work limitations that make it difficult to find and hold a job. Tuna, a senior black Chihuahua, is her baby and currently with her.
Our fur babies are non-negotiable and we don't have any interest in, or time for, defending/explaining why. We will need help feeding them very soon.
