My name is Michelle and this is my beautiful daughter Amelia. Since the day she was born, I have been striving to keep her safe, happy, and most importantly, have sympathy and empathy for others and animals. Around 7 years ago, my father and I built a home on my husband's grandmother's property. It is beautiful here. My father and I poured our Heart and souls into this home and without knowing at the time, embodies Amelia's heart and soul; which makes it devastating to have to go.
With this, a little over 2 years ago, I discovered severe skin issues and we found our bathroom floor was completely rotting beneath us, and from there forward, the problems began to spread like wildfire. As the caretaker of the home, teacher for my child (PA Cyber), animal caretaker, the secretary for family, the accountant, and the communicator, it all became too much.
Observing my significant others complete disregard for what was going on and allowing my daughter and I to become ill in living worsening conditions, my heart broke.
Amelia and I moved in with my financially struggling parents for a short while with the hope that my husband would make the appropriate improvements to make the house livable. When we returned what we witnessed was atrocious and absolutely gut-wrenching. What once was our loving home that I put my blood, sweat, and tears into, was now something that was unspeakable and repairable. I could see Amelia's heartbreaking by looking in her eyes.
Due to financial struggles Amelia and I had to leave my parents house and come back to what was once our home. Every moment every second that I am not sleeping I am frantically trying to reverse the damage. However, I know that all I am doing spinning my wheels damaging my lungs and Amelia's respiratory system and overall health.
Over a year of these conditions that continue to worsen, because they are being ignored, has triggered severe post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms with both Amelia and myself. These symptoms are triggered when we enter a bathroom use a toilet witness unclean floors or approach a sink. Understandably, this led to a resentment which I could not overcome and in turn comma resulted in our separation.
With little time to grieve over the loss of my home comma the people surrounding it, my animals, and my husband, I know no matter what, I have to get my daughter to safety. After months and months of searching, I have finally found a safe, clean, and affordable apartment in Clarion where Amelia and I can heal and start a new beginning.
Though I am in contact with the YWCA for some funding, this is a time-sensitive matter. We modestly ask for any donation of any amount to help contribute to the security deposit and first month's rent in order to begin our happy and healthy Journey that will lead to healing and we can live a normal, happy life.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to our story/unfortunate circumstances and hope those who read this have a happy and fulfilling life ahead of them.
Sincerely,
Michelle and Amelia
