Mushtaq Gill, founder of LEAD Ministries Pakistan, is an internationally recognized Christian human rights lawyer and evangelist. For years, he has boldly advocated for religious freedom and justice in Pakistan, challenging the misuse of blasphemy laws and the forced conversion of Christian girls to Islam for marriage. He offers legal aid to persecuted believers, is an advocate for human rights globally, and spreads the message of Jesus Christ through Gospel tract evangelism, both in Pakistan and in his current place of refuge, Sri Lanka. In August 2016, escalating threats and violence forced Mushtaq and his family to flee Pakistan. They now live as refugees in Sri Lanka—his wife and four children included—where they face severe restrictions. They are not legally permitted to work or access public services, leaving them completely reliant on the generosity of others, particularly the global body of Christ.

Despite these hardships, Mushtaq continues his ministry: defending the vulnerable, offering legal counsel to fellow refugees, sharing the Gospel, and working to build the church, namely in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. His resilience is powered by faith in God and support from compassionate individuals worldwide.

Currently, the family is waiting for visa interviews in hopes of relocating to the United States, but until that door opens, they need urgent assistance to meet their basic needs. From 2016 until now, there have been singular donors over time supporting the family and the ministry, but due to death and financial strain of the singular donors they now are reaching out to the global church of Jesus to support the needs of their family, $21,000 ($1,750 per month) for the upcoming year:

$14,400 for housing, food, and utilities

$5,000 for the education of their four children

$1,600 for medical, transportation, and emergency expenses
