We’re GM Community for Palestine. We are sharing this fundraiser in hopes of raising money for a pro-Palestine mural at our favourite cafe - Caramelló. Rather than it be a response to the occupation stickers left on Caramello’s doors, we are hoping this mural becomes a symbol of hope - both for the pro-Palestine community in Manchester and those who we tirelessly protest for. Manchester’s pro-Palestine community remains committed to fighting for those living under apartheid. We look forward to seeing this commitment solidified through this mural. CALL TO ACTION: SUPPORT A PRO-PALESTINE MURAL AT CARAMELLÓ

Caramelló Cafe has been a cherished hub of culture, community, and solidarity since opening its doors in 2016. Recently, it was once again subjected to racist intimidation when Israeli stickers were plastered across its entrance. This is not an isolated incident - only months ago, the same stickers were placed along the path leading to the cafe.

These acts of hate are not merely attacks on Caramelló, but on the wider community it represents and its unwavering commitment to solidarity. For years, Caramelló has stood firmly with Palestine: supporting Manchester-based activist groups, providing a safe and welcoming space for pro-Palestine voices, and demonstrating the true meaning of solidarity through action and generosity.

Now it is our turn to stand with them. We are inviting the community to take part in a powerful act of resistance: the creation of a pro-Palestine mural on the gable wall of Caramelló. This mural will serve not only as a work of art, but as a lasting symbol of resilience, unity, and hope - placed at the very heart of Didsbury, on the walls of one of Manchester’s most targeted pro-Palestine business.
