Hello, my name is Vivi, and I am the daughter of a fighter.
I recently lost my mother to cancer. Walking alongside her through her journey changed me forever.I learned how fragile life is, how unfair time can be, and how important it is to never give up while there is still hope.
Today, I want to help as a way of giving thanks for every moment life allowed me to share with her while she was here, and also as a way to heal—by supporting another patient who may be going through what my mom went through, and whose children, like me, are also facing this process.
This patient is fighting for her life with everything she has, always with a smile. I decided to support her because her story represents the hope that everyone deserves when there is still an opportunity.
This patient is living with metastatic pancreatic cancer and has faced the disease with admirable strength. I chose her because my mother left me that example: never give up. After completing all standard treatment options, the cancer has continued to progress. Even so, she remains deeply determined to keep fighting and to try everything within her reach.
She has been accepted into an experimental clinical trial in another country, which represents her last viable option. Although the study medication is covered, the associated medical costs, as well as lodging and travel expenses, are not, and they have become an overwhelming financial burden.
This campaign is created with dignity and respect to help this patient continue a treatment that may offer more time, a better quality of life, and hope when no other alternatives remain. It is also a way to offer her family the support I wish I had had, and to give them a little more time together—time I always wished I could have had with my mom.
Any contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. And if you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign is also an incredibly valuable way to help.
