I need some help.

I could throw stats at you about bipoc women not completing PhD programs and the financial barriers. I could cite numbers on the disparity in income between races and gender expressions. I could also talk about the gap between pay and cost of housing.

Instead, let me share vulnerably.

I am fighting to continue doing what I do: raising amazing kids, research to benefit bipoc and queer communities and students, teaching amazing college students and working for justice even when it’s unpopular. In order to keep doing this, I need a place to live.

I work for very little money at the university and I’m so close to finishing. So close!

Going through a separation and being broke means I run the risk of being unhoused.

I’ve been trying multiple avenues and running into dead ends. I believe in community so now I turn to y’all.
