Aloha All,
My situation is unique.
It has been 2 years since I began my journey. It started at family court, then complete disconnect from my son as his birth mother relocated to Indiana with him. I have not seen him or heard his voice since. But I persevered. Always sad, but never letting it hold me back.
But now, I am able to take necessary steps to being reunited with him.
The Supreme Court recently ruled that I am a legal parent to my son. Two years later, a bitter sweet victory, but a victory nonetheless.
At this time, his birth mother is still ignoring all of my attempts to contact our son. I have no information on where he resides, only what I have found out from a friend and private investigator. But, some time has passed since.
So, these funds will assist in expenses and time away from work during my attempts to locating my son.
Please, any blessings you send, even if it isn’t money will mean so much to me.

Also, a special thanks to my attorney and the organizations she represented during the past 2 years, the ACLU of Hawaii and Legal Aide Hawaii. It was due to all her efforts and support from those organizations that I am able to make these attempts to rebuild my relationship with my son.
Again, thank you for the time you’ve taken to reading my story.
Aloha
