- Hey every story time. February 23rd of 2023 I was in a horrible motorcycle accident luckily I survived but sadly I was paralyzed in the accident. I’m blessed to be alive today and to have a wonderful family and friends to surround me with love. As some know to live a normal life as a disabled person cost a lot and is a daily struggle. It seems anything to do with helping disabled people is expensive. An the health insurance system and government support can be a struggle to navigate or even be approved I was lucky enough to have a power wheelchair donated to me so I could continue to support my family being a farmer sadly it’s old and at the end of it’s life. I need a power wheelchair that can get me around the farm so a I can take care of the animals and honeybees. Sadly as a farmer money isn’t plentiful and my power wheelchair is old and falling apart to fix it would cost as much as a new one so im reaching out and asking for help from the community I don’t expect anything and honestly im not really optimistic about reaching my goal. I’ve never been one to ask for help as I’ve always earned everything my my own two hands so this is a weird feeling need help and not being able to provide it for myself I can’t even drive at the moment as I still don’t have a handicapped accessible vehicle so life has been a struggle and sometimes it’s honestly a little depressing but I keep my head up and do what I can to provide for my family.
