As many of you know, I received a DUI in 2020 and had my nursing license revoked for a period of three years. I was not driving the car at the time. I was parked on the side of the road, but in my county, if the keys are in the car, it is considered a DUI no matter whether or not the car is in use. I have since had that DUI expunged from my record, and I’m now hiring an attorney to be reinstated. The entire cost will be $8,500, which half will need to be put down. Over the past five years, not working as a nurse and taking whatever job I could, funds have been very tight. Any funds that anyone could put towards having my reinstatement become a reality would be greatly appreciated. I have been sober for two years now and attend regular AA meetings. Even though I had the wherewithal to not drive that night, I still felt that it was a wake-up call, and I have made changes in my life so that I would be a more prudent and safe nurse.
