Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears!

Hello! My name is Aaron Lipp. I am a recent Chapman theater graduate trying to make my start as a theater director in Orange County and I am producing and directing The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again] this fall.

What is the show about?

The play follows 3 actors trying their darnedest to perform all 37 Shakespeare plays in the span of 90 minutes. Chaos ensues.

I have two primary beliefs when it comes to theater:

• Theater should be accessible for everyone to view.

• Artists should be compensated fairly for their time, energy, and creativity.

My accountant has told me that this is a "bad business model" and that this way of thinking is "not how you make money." Good thing I don't actually have an accountant and I'm not trying to make money.

This is where you come in.

Theater is an expensive thing to do and as a recent college grad with a theater degree, I cannot pay for it all myself. Since I am planning on keeping ticket prices low, ticket sales alone will not come close to covering production costs.

The $15,000 goal for this fundraiser is set that high, primarily, so I can pay everyone who will be working on this project. If we hit this goal, $11,000 will be set aside for artist compensation. The remaining $4,000 will be used to purchase props, set pieces, costumes, as well as any additional technical help.

When and where will this be performed?

The production will run for 7 performances from October 10th - October 19th at The Chance Theater in Anaheim, California.
