Help Theresa continue to be a volunteer flutist!

I'm looking for help raising funds for an adaptive flute headjoint. Over the past several months, as my scoliosis worsens, I'm unable to continue playing the flute without causing pain and aggravation due to an impinged rotator cuff-- so much that I'm unable to complete daily tasks. Believe it or not, playing the flute is making my scoliosis and back problems worse every single time I raise my flute (this happens a lot) to play!
After much research with physical therapists, chiropractors, and nurse practitioners, and consulting with other flutists around the world, the only way that I can continue playing is by getting an adaptive headjoint to turn my flute to the orientation of a clarinet. Would you be willing to chip in (even $5) to defray the cost of the new headjoint? Models range from $1,625-$2,995. I've asked about sales and am applying for a grant to defray the cost from the Greater Columbus Arts Council. My goal is to inspire other musicians to not lose hope in continuing to play as they age or with hidden disabilities or chronic diseases. When a flutist shows up with an upside down flute it's a quick conversation starter, and I hope to share my story as I see other artists put down their instruments-- and maybe pick them up one more time!
Music speaks a language that's therapeutic to many people as we journey through life and is essential!
