Support a Music Teacher's Recovery from Theft

Hello,

I'm a pianist at Canon City High School, although I live in Colorado Springs, so I spend an extra 2 hours every day on the commute, but I love what I do, and the students make everything worth it.

There's very often late, exhausting rehearsals. One night, I decided to leave my Macbook Pro and large amount of collectible cards in the car. The next morning when I went out to head to work I saw that my window was busted in and everything was stolen from it.

The Macbook was an expensive gift given to me from my wife so that I could have the ease of doing what I always wanted to do with live music, as well as have the processing and capability to run high quality audio programs for the benefit of not only myself but as well as my students that I have hoped to use to add towards their rehearsals and performances.

With the Macbook was an ilok that had licenses for programs that had to be repurchased in order to use the music programs I use to make music and tracks for my students.

After getting the Macbook as a gift I also decided to register for college classes and try finishing my Bachelor's degree, because the Macbook gave me the ease of doing classes from anywhere. I decided to drop out and try again once I get back on my feet.

At last, the collection of cards I had, was the most valuable of them. I have spent many many years collecting as a hobby, playing games with my friends, and way more money then one probably should. I feel really stupid to have left such a collection sitting in the back of my car. Certainly never will again, although this experience has made me strongly consider no longer collecting cards.

When all is said and done: from the cost of repairs, repurchases, and the value of assets that were stolen; I lost about $2,500 from this robbery.

Any amount from friends, family, and community would help me immensely through this ordeal to get back on my feet, get a new laptop to continue doing the music I love, and finish schooling.
