On September 5, 2025, our lives changed forever. My mother lost everything when a sudden and tragic fire tore through her apartment building. In just a matter of minutes, decades of memories, possessions, and the safety of “home” were reduced to ashes. We thank God there were no casualties, but now we are left with the task of helping her hit the reset button when all she was left with were the clothes on her back. No home. No furniture. No keepsakes. No essentials. Everything she had worked so hard to build was gone in an instant. My mother has always been the one to give — to her family, her friends, and her community. She's the kind of person who would offer her last dollar or open her door to anyone in need. Now, she’s the one who needs help. I’m raising funds to help her start over — to find a safe place to live, replace basic necessities like clothing and household items, and begin the long road to recovery.
