Support a Mother & Survivor Recover Vehicle

Alicia is a single mother, organizer, and survivor who works relentlessly to support her four children while fighting for justice for young people impacted by the criminal legal system. We are raising funds to support her following a domestic violence incident that resulted in the total loss of her primary method of transportation. Thankfully Alicia and her four children are safe and well, but internal damage has left her car unsalvageable, and the loss will not be covered by car insurance. Alicia relies on a personal vehicle to transport her children from the suburbs to school in the city and to meet with incarcerated youth in facilities across the state for her advocacy work, and she is also her mother's primary mode of transportation to appointments as she recovers from serious health issues.

We are asking community members to rally around this family and help alleviate the financial burden of obtaining a new car. Funds raised will go towards a downpayment on a dependable car that will bring so much freedom back to Alicia and her children. We are grateful for any contributions that will help Alicia move past this hurdle so she can focus on being a dedicated mother and advocate!
