Edit: thank you for your generous contributions! This fundraiser is now closed and the money has been giving to the mother. She was overwhelmed with thankfulness and the feeling that God is with her. Thank you!

I’m Alicia, and I’m raising money for my dear neighbor, a young mother in her early twenties with two small children who has come under sudden financial strain. Out of respect for the family, they will remain anonymous.

Her husband has recently experienced a sudden and severe mental health crisis that required hospitalization. During this ongoing struggle with paranoid psychosis, he also quit his job and has sought divorce, leaving her to carry the heavy burden of caring for the children while trying to make ends meet and get her husband the help he needs. Having been in contact with her regularly, she has been on the receiving end of a multitude of incredibly stressful occurrences during her husband’s mental health crisis.

On top of the emotional strain and caring for the kids, she is now trying to cover her rent and provide stability for her children. Any support you can give will go directly toward helping her during this painful and uncertain season.

Anything helps! But especially your prayers. Please, remember to pray for this precious family. God can restore all things.

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” — Proverbs 19:17

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

“The poor are not a burden, but a treasure, given to us by God for the salvation of our souls.” — St. John Chrysostom

“He who gives to the poor lends to Christ, and receives back more than he gave.”
— St. Ephraim the Syrian
