I’m reaching out to ask for support for my daughter and her wife during a situation that has been deeply painful and wrong.

Earlier this year, they were married and began the process to adjust her wife’s immigration status. Their marriage was formally reviewed and approved by the Department of Homeland Security (USCIS). Despite this federal approval, her wife — a mother to a U.S. citizen child — was unexpectedly detained by ICE, despite being a devoted parent, spouse, and community member with strong ties and no criminal history.

She was released only after paying a $2,000 bond and is now required to wear an ankle monitor. She is currently unable to work while her case continues, placing significant strain on their family during a time when they need it most.

This family did everything the right way.

We are asking for community support to help them stay stable while they navigate the next steps and keep their family together. Any amount helps, and sharing this fundraiser means just as much.
