I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of a Muslim sister in Oakland who is facing an incredibly difficult situation. She is a single mother currently battling stage 4 cancer and is at risk of eviction if her rent is not paid urgently.

She has shared:

“I live in Oakland and I am a single mom going through stage 4 cancer. I’ve never had to reach out for help before, but I’m struggling right now. I’m not in the best health, but I’m still willing to do what I can for me and my children. I’ve been living in my apartment for over 2 years.”

She is currently $430 short on her rent, and without this amount, she may lose her home.

I know times are tough for many, but even a small contribution can make a huge difference. My intention is to collect the funds and send them directly to her landlord to ensure full transparency and that the money goes exactly where it is needed.
