Support a Mother and Son After Carjacking

On December 14, 2024, at 10:53 pm, my middle daughter was on her way to work. She works 11-7 am. She lives in Alsip with her 17-year-old high schooler. She stopped in Blue Island on 120th and Pulaski at a Quik Drip to get gas. When she ran inside to pay because the pump wasn’t allowing her to pay, she grabbed a slice of pizza and a drink. As she returned back to her 2019 Chevy Malibu, there was a man standing near her pump. As she approached, he motioned to her not to run. She backed up; normally she would say something, but he had a gun. He snatched her keys out of her hand and drove off. Her purse was on the floor; her whole life was in that handbag! She reported it stolen because the car was paid for, and she only carried liability insurance! I am grateful she did not lose her life! She has to take her son to high school. He is a great student. It bothered him so much he came to where his mom was in an Uber, in tears! He said, 'God, why do bad things always happen to us?' She doesn’t know that I am asking for help for them! If I have ever been a blessing to you, please help her for me so she can get to work. Her job is so far, and Ubers are so costly! Thanking you all in Jesus' name in advance! We reported it stolen the same night, but it has not been found. Any amount would be a great help! A single mother trying to hold everything together. I have a very small family because I lost my mother, father, sister, nephew, and brother. I never wanted to ask! Thanking you all near and far in advance! What’s so sad is it happened a few days after her birthday, which is sad! I told her I trust God! Again, she doesn’t know that I am doing this, but every penny will go for a used car. In fact, Marty Wade has some reasonable cars for sale; I hope to get one from him.
