Hey all! Thanks for checking out my fundraiser.

I am currently fundraising to cover a month of expenses while I take mental health leave. I am a therapist by profession focusing on complex trauma and anti-oppression, working primarily within my own communities, specifically with disabled and/or LGBTQ2SIA+ people. As you can imagine from these niches, it has been an incredibly difficult four years, and I am in need of an extended time to take off work to rest, recuperate, and recalibrate for the longevity and sustainability of my practice.

In addition to my paid work, I also am active in mutual aid and other social justice endeavors, and am hoping to establish a better balance between my paid work, my unpaid work, and my very real and human need for rest. I need to hit pause so I can figure all this out and support both myself and my communities.

A bit more about me, in case you don't know me and want to know more: I love cats and have two - the one in the photo is Azzam, and his brother is Asher and an orange boy. I have a modest garden where I enjoy seeing and supporting growth and nourishment, including for the bugs as long as they don't destroy the plants. I enjoy reading sci-fi/fantasy, making candles, and drawing.
