Hello, my name is Amy. On August 12th, 2025, my daughter's world was turned upside down as she was involved in a serious car accident that totaled her vehicle and left her with a concussion and other injuries she is recovering from.
This accident has taken more than just her car - it has taken away her independence. Without reliable transportation, she cannot get to work, take her toddler to daycare, attend her prenatal appointments (she is expecting next month), or manage the basic necessities of life.
While our insurance company is working with us, we have been told that because her car was older, she may receive little to nothing from the total loss claim. Making matters worse, she had recently lost her daycare assistance and had already exhausted her savings trying to keep her daughter enrolled. We have managed to cover her daycare costs through September 1st, but we're all stretched thin.
The one blessing in this tragedy is that our granddaughter was not in the car when this happened - our daughter was actually on the way to pick her up when it happened. Both baby and mom are safe, but the road to recovery will be long.
My husband, our son, and I have rearranged our work schedules to help with transportation - taking turns dropping off and picking up the baby, driving our daughter to medical appointments, and special visits for her accident-related injuries. We are all pulling together, but we cannot sustain this alone while also trying to help her find reliable transportation.
Every dollar donated will go directly to:
- Bridging essential expenses until she can return to work
- Assisting with securing a dependable used vehicle so she can regain her independence
- Covering temporary transportation costs when our family cannot provide rides
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this message. Sometimes the right person seeing this at the right moment makes all the difference.
In our 25 years together, we've never faced anything like this. Asking for help is unfamiliar territory for us, but we're doing everything we can for our daughter and granddaughter.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our story. Your support—whether through a donation or simply sharing our message—means everything to our family during this difficult time. Thank you.
