I want to share something personal that many may not know about. Recently, I’ve been dealing with a serious medical condition that’s only just been diagnosed. For some time, I’ve been experiencing intense pressure in my head, lasting 20-30 minutes at a time, and it was happening very frequently. There were moments when I couldn’t even open my eyes, and I didn’t understand why.

After seeking medical attention, I underwent an MRI, which led to my diagnosis: cysticercosis, a condition caused by a cyst from a pork tapeworm.

I was then referred to a neurosurgeon who advised that surgery is urgently needed to remove it given the size and growth of the cyst. My surgery is scheduled for December 27th.

My recovery will take at least 8 weeks, during which time I will be unable to work. This unexpected medical situation has created unforeseen financial challenges. As a mother of five children—ages 1, 2, 8, 9, and 16—I’m reaching out for support during this difficult time.
