After buying dinner and stopping to grab a drink from the store, I was shot on May 23rd in front of my children with bird shot shotgun (Thank God they are okay; they are my world and i would have lost it if anything happened to them.) a girl came up and applied pressure after I was shot so i didnt bleed out even though i kept wanting to close my eyes, she kept it there and talking to me til the ambulance got there. I then had to be airlifted from Brunswick to Jacksonville, Florida, not knowing if I was going to make it or not. I was in the ICU for over a week on a ventilator and then got that off. I had a tube in my nose still and got moved to another room where I was for almost 2 weeks. I wasn't able to eat anything for 2 weeks. I had to have help every time I had to get up, get dressed. I've had 5 surgeries and more to come. I can't wash myself hardly. My intestines had to be put where something is holding them together. I have to be very careful with what I do and have to take it really easy and slow. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me and my recovery and kids.

I worked for myself when this happened, cleaning houses for people and doing DoorDashing. I have a long, long road to recovery. I've fallen into a dark spot since this has happened, and I've cried and cried, hating being like this and upset that I can hardly do anything without help. Someone has to be with me almost all the time. I'm trying to raise money for hotel costs, food, gas for trips back and forth to Jacksonville for appointments and surgeries, and personal care stuff as I'm gonna be out of work for a while. I have staples all the way down my stomach and have a huge slice open still on my side. I can't even pick up 5 pounds. Anything is greatly appreciated, and if you can't donate, please just pray for me and my recovery and justice for me and my kids. I'm in excruciating pain and can hardly ever get comfortable when trying to rest or sleep and I've been really emotional with being in this condition right now and feeling helpless and like a burden on people I've applied for Insurance yesterday but haven't heard back yet. I'm just a mama trying to do my best and keep my head up for my babies.
