Help me finally pay off my tuition and get my undergraduate diploma!

I graduated high school three years early and I wanted to go to college immediately but because of my age, things didn’t work out. My family was not supportive of this decision and my life was plunged into despair. I ended up getting married instead, and having kids. Then my husband found out that he had Stage 4 Cancer. It was diagnosed too late to treat, and he died a few weeks later. This, as you can imagine, upended everything. But I was determined to make things work. so I tried going back to school again. Unfortunately, raising small children alone and trying to go to school was more than I could handle, and I had to withdraw and put my family first. Years later, as online education became more accessible, I decided to go back. This time, I was able to stick with it. However, because of all the stops and starts, I had used up all my loan aid and had to pay cash. Still struggling to raise six kids, this often resulted in my having to withdraw until I could pay the balance and re-enroll, a process that went on for years.

After ten years, though, I finally had enough credits to graduate.

But I still owed $1600. While I had been able to slowly cover my tuition in the past, the cost of living today and not having any financial support or extended family help (never remarried) has made it too difficult to pay off. If I have to prioritize basic living expenses so finally getting my diploma remains an unrealized goal after over 30 years.

Even writing this is embarrassing.

There are also so many other problems in the world and people who need money way more than I do.

Which is why I’ve hesitated to put this out there.

I asked some local charities and they either didn’t respond or said no.

Just on the change that somebody would like to help one person realize a goal that they’ve had since they were 16 to get their college diploma, I’m going to put this out there anyway.
