Please help - Mom of 4 fighting aggressive stage 4 Cancer

Help a mom of 4 young children fight cervical & metasticised cancer.

An update I really didn’t want to make as we are devastated. My scans this week show that I still have cervical cancer. It has gotten a little smaller and less intense on the PET scan but I will need more treatments. I now have a new lymph node in my neck that is showing up. The “lymph nodes” that were showing up enlarged and necrotic on my MRI did not show up in the PET scan and are probably just my ovaries rotting since they were transferred to my back to try to protect them from the radiation.

Now here’s the worst part. I have been in so. Much. Pain. I just got my results back from my MRI and I’ve got a mass on the top of my pelvis near my spine. It is small and they aren’t sure if it’s a stress fracture from the radiation that is swollen or if I have metastasis (a tumor) there, but either way it means another surgery or more chemo treatments. I will be getting a bone scan asap.

I’m not sure what the next steps will be but I know this time is going to be different No savings this time. Already financially upside down. Bobbys FMLA is dwindling. Stronger meds = more complications and harder side affects. I am almost certain I’ll have to have chemo again which means more hearing loss, more painful neuropathy. I know we will need help with the kids, because their grandma will be traveling and I won’t have anyone close by. It all scares me a lot and I could use your prayers. I can’t believe I expected this to be over by now. Survival rate once it’s a stage 4B2 is very low, it is affecting me and I am trying to remain positive because I have a beautiful family I have to fight for.

(I will also be seeking a second opinion at Moffit cancer center in Tampa)

Hello and thank you for reading this. I am a 34 year old mother of 4 located in Port Orange Florida. My husband Bobby and I just had a beautiful baby boy in May! After several abnormal symptoms throughout my pregnancy, I was blindsided to learn that I have advanced cervical cancer. I will need a radical hysterectomy with likelihood of chemotherapy/radiotherapy. (We will know more after the pathology is done following surgery.) This puts both he and I out of work for 6-8 weeks or more depending on my treatments.

We were already working to overcome some financial obstacles as we are recovering financially from having a baby. Things feel like they’re spiraling out of my control. We are down to 1 vehicle, our laundry washer is broken (with a family of six this truly killing me, lol) I will need a lot of help caring for my children while I’m recovering and going through treatments. I will have to stop breastfeeding and will need donor milk or formula for our baby. My husbands leave to care for us will be unpaid and our savings are exhausted. Cancer is an unpredictable thing so I anticipate more challenges along the way.

I would be forever greatful if we could offset some of our financial obligations while Bobby takes time away from his job to care for our family and tote us back and fourth to Orlando. We would be able to focus our energy on me getting better so I can continue to be super mom.

If you can’t help financially I know some cute kids that might like some attention, we can always use help cleaning up the house, playing with our toddler, picking the older kids up from school, bringing by dinner or running an errand or two.
